We have looked at public land options but getting off enough days of work to get up there and scout and hunt would be difficult. Hoping someone had some good experience with an outfitter, maybe there havent been any good experiences ??
We actually went with an outfitter in northern mo last year, wasnt real impressed with the outcome. My youngest shot a nice one (scored 155) and me and my other son saw a couple of nice deer. I know that the deer movement is out of anyones control but the other parts of the hunt left a lot to be desired. We were sent to stands that sometimes seemed unsafe, some didnt even have seats in them, food was served late and a couple of times not at all. We wont be going back. Its a shame lot of nice deer on his farm but his "outfitting service" wasnt what it could be

That may be a reality, if you can't find one with good references you may want to re-think a return trip to the farm that you saw some good bucks on. To me, there is nothing worse than seeing only a few does.
Check out Spikes-n-Spurs Outfitters in NE MO (Lewis County). They operate on a number of farms in the area. One of them is real close to mine, they got a couple of 150+" bucks there in first week of 2020 rifle season. Find them on Facebook, I don't think they have a website.
