Good hunt. Loader cleaning rack works, done a few whitetail that way.
Posted By: Ole_270 Re: scoop and lift.... - 11/12/21
yep, done that many times with bigger equipment though. Once with a big rubber tired loader big enough for a 3 cu yard bucket. Buck didn't look too big in that one.

That is the way to pack out a deer.

I like it! blush

I'm jealous. I used a piece of rope around the neck for my niece's buck.

That is one easy way to do it.

Didn't somebody here shoot an eland that wandered onto their TX place and then tote it out in the front of a Kubota?

Work smarter not harder, that is the way to do it

Isn't that how everybody does it?

I thought I was doing pretty well with my little wooden ramp for my hitch hauler basket on the back of the SxS. I'm basically a caveman by comparison.

Thinking about trying the 'winch over rollbar' on my SXS as some places I just can't or won't take the tractor.

I bought a cheap winch from harbor freight to load them in the side by side. Of course it’s from harbor freight so it broke 2nd time using it. But it worked so well I bought a winch from a company called Heavens Trail. Their winch is designed for installation of heavy ladder stands but it’s also ideal for effortlessly loading game in the back of a side by side. I have not had to resort to tractor yet but like the idea of the loader to dress them especially given I’ve been thinking about building a place to hang and skin them anyway

Nice! Do you put “deer condiments” into the bucket as an attractant? 😉 memtb

I did a bucket retrieval once....I'd do it every time if I could! Wooded mountainsides and tractors ain't peas and carrots though.....

After you skill them out, fill the bucket with marinade and put the deer back in....
Jealous here~~

Smaller deer and smaller rig, but beats dragging them.

Brother in law uses the tractor for his deer, works. I use the sxs. Throw the winch cable over the roof and drag in. To gut just tilt the bed. Sure beats doing it on the ground with my back

I keep a 5 x10 utility trailer at camp. It tilts to make it easy to drag them on it for the heavy ones.
