Recently, I purchased part of a farm that adjoined me, mostly woods, brush and had an old cabin. A hollow has a flowing spring in it and a ridge with wild apple and crab apple trees. Got to get a ladder stand in there soon.
Spring.

I did the same how many acres did you buy
Let’s just get the truth out on the table. You bought that land because it has an old cabin. laugh
80 acres more or less.

Very cool. Need pics of the old cabin, if anything is left standing, roundoak. smile

Very cool! Looks like a great spot to make some memories!
Looks great! I'd probably live in that Cabin! LOL
Great buy---- did it come with an outhouse and water ?
Awesome looking spot, good for you. Nice pic's, looks like you have everything you need there.
Looks awesome
Healthy apple crop.

Was up by my place couple weeks back in NY and apples are scarce this year.

Good luck with the new place.

If that cabin could talk! Mighty fine piece of ground man.
Yep-really nice. Maybe, now, you will be able to finally take some big bucks! smile

LOL.

Looks like another great addition to deer paradise.
Don't need a ladder stand when you have an old cabin for a blind....

thinking out loud...

Round oak not sure what county you are in, but we have been seeing more and more bobcats in La Crosse and Vernon counties. Never used to see them before the last few years. Had one up on my neighbors porch this last week.

It adjoins almost 2000 acres.
cv540, Grant County here and Bobcat sightings are on the increase.
Great looking property. Wish I had apples but deer do their best to keep me from growing them. Since last fall cat sightings have been more and more frequent around here in Vernon cty.

I bought 45 acres that I had been banned from locked out of for the last 20 years karma is going to be a bitch this fall
Love the look of the place.
Congrads, love little cabins like that! I'd stay there all deer season.! Happy Hunting
Nice, RO. That cabin looks like one right of Appalachia. Good luck this season.
Very nice, thanks for sharing!

Nice purchase! Natural food supply to draw the deer in, and a small mansion to stay in…that’s awesome!

Looks like the perfect property to spend an inordinate amount of time at. Enjoy!

Apple tree's and a nice cabin what's not to like.
Know any history on the cabin? That’s a really neat combination of the land, spring, fruit trees and the cabin. Good luck there this fall.
Compared to the chicken coop we made in to a cabin a bit north east of Richland Center in the '80s, that's a palace. Congratulations on the purchase.
Congrats on the new property! Looks like a good piece of land!

It is in farm country and about 1320 feet away is the start of some crop ground.

The story told to me was the farmer's son got mustered out of the Army at the end of World War I, married his childhood sweetheart, built the cabin, lived there two months, his wife died from appendicitis, buried her and he struck out for Alaska, never to be heard from again.
So it’s about 100 years old. That’s really nice little cabin.
Nice! Deer sure love them dang crops!!!

Got a nephew that lives in Kewaunee. Was out there a few years back for his wedding. Quite a bit of WI looks like PA…nice deer woods😎
Nice purchase, looks good!
Looks like paradise to me. Congrats!
Congrats and best for hunting it RO!!

I'm heading in the opposite direction it appears as a local developer has made an offer to purchase 50 of our 75 acres.
The kind of offer that I just can't refuse.
I did demand and get exclusive hunting for this year and will be able to hunt it[shared w/his grandson] for several years to come as there really won't be any major changes for the foreseeable future.
The developer is having to buy everything he can for offsets.

Feels weird though.
Good buy Roundoak, can't think of a better way to invest right now....mb

Southern Monroe has seen a big increase in them also.
