I just bought a 14” 7-30 Waters barrel for my contender. Anyone have any thoughts on this round?

Mine is a 23” contender. 120 and 140 ballistic tips over 3031 have performed quite nice for me on paper and whitetails.

Had a 14" about 15yrs ago, took a couple deer about 60-70 yds with sierra 120 prohunters no DRT ya hear all the time but were within 50yds. Nice shooting with no barrel jump just a little recoil straight back. Mine was scoped with I think a 2-7 burris and I had it sighted in for 100yds, was getting about 1.5+ groups.

Message Bobby Tomek on here. I bet he has killed more critters with it than anybody else in the world.

I had a Contender in a 7-30 JDJ. Shoot the Waters and fireform it to a JDJ. The JDJ was not worth the effort over the Waters.
I ran 120 NBT in mine
