I'm in my 60's.
The memory fades a bit , but I think it's in the mid 70's.
Mostly Blacktails, followed by Mule deer and one lone Whitetail.
One mule deer ,and 30-40 whitetails.
Mule Deer --More than a FEW

Whitetail---More than a Few

counting button bucks?
Only a couple... vast majority of my deer have been does. Antlerless tags have historically been cheaper and more plentiful šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
I have no idea. For the last 20 years, my hunting has been pretty constant, varies between 3-5 bucks per year while hunting 3 states....most time only spent in 2 of those states. I don't know how many before that. Ratio is usually one "good" buck to one "cull" buck that should be removed. Occasionally I'll screw up, especially in the woods, and shoot one I didn't age or judge well and be pissed at myself.

One thing I can say for certain about myself, I need to shoot more does. I should at the very least take 1 doe for every buck I take...but I usually only take a doe for every other buck or every 3rd buck. I need to get serious about it.
40 - 45 or so bucks over the years in PA and NY.
Donā€™t care to kill deer anymore.
1. I'm picky.
Lots of mule deer and pronghorn, but not one whitetail.
I've been hunting deer for 60 years with exception of two of the three years in the service. Some years I shot 6 Whitetail. For years I shot bucks because they tended to be bigger deer. Lately I've been shooting mostly does because I like to eat deer meat and they tend to be better eating. I have no idea how many bucks total. I've shot coues, whitetail and mule deer - mostly whitetail. I have never shot a blacktail. Answer = more than a few.
Have never kept track, wish I had. Growing up the general belief was that you tagged mule deer, white tail were kind of varmints & you shoot as many as you or someone else could use, even knowing that mule deer bucks typically taste awful. Fast forward, my son is crazy for big or unusual whitetail. Not sure where I went wrongā€¦..
At least 37 Whitetails. One every year since I was 14. Some years two though. Six mule deer in Wyoming. So 50-55 ?
No idea but in my experience folks tend to way over estimate the number of deer they've taken.
Most deer in a year for me was 13, I think 3 were bucks.
Most bucks in a year would be 4 I think, most years 2.
Started hunting 30 years ago, take a few years off while in the navy. Growing up and college years often it was 1 buck a year and then a bonus doe or two.

A few years I opted for elk instead or didn't draw deer so I'd say conservatively 40 bucks, likely a few more than that but I bet it's pretty close. No idea how many does, probably double that.
I'm only counting hunting, not depredation or putting deer down after someone hit them with a car or any thing like that.
I have taken around 100 deer in my life. I'm guessing 30-35 have been bucks including mulies, blacktails and whitetails. I normally shoot does for the meat so I haven't targeted a buck in many years.
I have 18 racks in the house and one at the taxi.. a few in the garage and a couple have been lost over the years. Iā€™ll say 25ishā€¦

No idea how many slickheads. But Iā€™m guessing Iā€™m around 3:1 ratio to the bucks all except the last few years when holding out for antlered set and letting the kids kill does kept my extra tags in my pockets.

Been hunting 32 years. Not bad odds and damn good teachers
Never thought about and really don't care. I don't think any of my friends know how many they killed either. I think "the number" is more important when you are only a decade or so into hunting. When it's many decades, "the number" is irrelevant - it's the memories that matter.
Iā€™d have to check my notes for accuracy but approximately 85-90 bucks, one muley and the rest whitetail. About as many doe too. Some of those bucks came from Pennsylvania over the years.
Since 1971, 46 muley bucks and more whitetail bucks than that. Call it 100+/-. Killed way more whitetail does than that, but never a mule deer doe.
I think I shot 16 . I have likely shot the same amount of does. That is surprisingly low for the hunting I do since I started at 12 and now almost 60. I hunt with gun and bow.. However, I only hunt public land . It is either S.E. Wis public and very high pressured with hunters everywhere, or I am way up in N.W. Wis. where there are so few deer that I have not seen a buck during gun season since 2009 and I hunt there every year. I have never payed a die to hunt , or leased any land. I have 7 ac. with river frontage though and payed $3,000 for it. I believe it is about the hunt, not the kill. However, many people say that ,,, till they go a long time without getting one, then is really is about the kill . I pass up a lot of marginal shots with my bow on deer. I dont like to miss, but I hate wounding them, knowing I might have had a better shot in a few minutes. I love deer hunting for whitetails, and I hunt them. By that , I scout 7 months a yr. on 7,000 ac. of public land, and know about 5,000 ac. of it very well. When I hunt , I look for beds, and hunt trails coming from them by sitting in trees with a climber and ambush them. I like that. I would like to go out west someday, but I am more of a fisherman .
Ainā€™t no telling, here are the 8 and tens, gave away this many once before, had 8 in the house, sold the mounts, got tired of dusting them. No telling how many small bucks. Gave all of these away except for 6 to a guy that uses the antlers building furniture

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]
Iā€™ve never hunted outside of Kansas where itā€™s one buck per year. Probably killed about 20 in 26 years of hunting. Iā€™ve only killed a few does. Every year I plan to thin does out in the late anterless season but never seem to get around to it.
You wouldnā€™t believe it if I told you
Started killing bucks when I was 11 and have killed a few more since then. At one time I wanted to kill a buck in every state. I'm lacking a couple of states in the north east and a good many states west of the Mississippi. Once I bought property and started wildlife management practices I pretty much gave up traveling around and killing deer. Y'all can have my share.
I have killed between 150-160 bucks (All Whitetails) in My 40 years of hunting deer but about 10 years ago i started only hunting for trophy whitetails (150"+) so since then I have only killed 11 bucks from the three States I hunt every year. I could easily see me going 2 or 3 years between kills now days....Good hunting..Hb
Not that many. I keep good notes. Not because the numbers matter. Just because I like to have good notes.

14 bucks.

I've been hunting for 22 seasons.

31 doe.

-Jake
We adopted a distant relative of my wife.

He's been hunting two seasons now.

Got two 8 points and a nice 9 point and three doe already.

He's off to a good start.

Our oldest boy, 9 , got his first doe last year as well.

So I expect my numbers will go down for the next fifteen years or so while my four kids are learning.

That's just fine with me.

-Jake
Been killing deer since 1967. Over the past 55 years, I have no idea. I'd say 70 or so.
Nine, I think.
crapā€¦didnā€™t know I was supposed to keep track.

probably somewhere between 40 and 50 counting some mulie bucks thrown into that total.
In 45 years, I always tagged out, which is 3 bucks, probably 50/50 Mule deer and Whitetails, last couple years have been poor for a buck hunter, its looking better this year.
In my youth I shot a few does but now I don't bother to shoot them, deer pops are down anyways, otherwise I would.
I only want to shoot smaller bucks now lol.

I have never shot a Blacktail.
The real question is how many button bucks
Not counting button bucks, I've got 67. If it has horns, they get cut off and screwed to the walls of my shop unless they get mounted.

Back in the day, "if it's brown, it's down" was my motto. Between like 2000 until 2013, we were allowed to take up to 6 per year (2 with a bow, 2 with a ML, and 2 with a firearm). In 2014 (I think) they started the antler restrictions and cut us back to only 4 per year. Then, in 2018 they cut us back to only 3. When they started the antler restrictions, I quit shooting little bucks and now I don't shoot anything less than an 8 point. I only killed 1 this year.
Not counting buttons, 16. But I did shoot an antlerless deer once that was a buck that had already shed its antlers. I never know if I should count that one or not. If I do then it's 17
Not sure, always killed 2-3 deer per year when younger with bow.
Last 22 years I've killed at least 2 bucks per year with an average of 5 doe per year.
I've passed a many that didn't meet the mature requirement.
We eat a lot of deer meat for sure...
I killed around 8 deer this last season.
My guess is 60 some deerā€¦

We could shoot 5 deer here a year and I did so for at least 6 years, and shot 3 for another 7ā€¦ then we have the 1 deer a year couple of decades.

Soā€¦ yep.
More than I should have.
Quite a pile. First one in 1961. 2 Black tails, a dozen Mule deer and the rest Whitetail.
Quit counting years ago but if I averaged it out it puts it at 81 Iā€™m more selective now and target specific bucks

don't no for years here you could kill 2 bucks a day in hunting season . bow/ml/gun
I killed my 150th blacktail this year. Of those more than half have been bucks. I was never good at keeping track of whitetails, but Iā€™ve shot at least 40 of them, with maybe a third being bucks.

I head shot a button head this year and a dang nice one at that. It was with 4 does that I also shot in the head. About 1 out of every 20 does I kill end up being a button head. I hate shooting them but in reality you only lost one year.

Ive killed upwards of 175-200 deer in my life with probably a third, maybe a tad more of those being bucks

I have never really kept track. I have been hunting them for 52 years. Probably 40 to 50 Bucks and twice that many does. I have hunted them in 5 different states.

I'm not sure where you're going? I was being funny you know.

We can shoot one legal buck a year, which I've down since I was young. It's not like them boys down south. Between the cougars and the bears we have a whole lot less deer out west.

I doubt I have killed anymore that 50 bucks. Probably well over 100 deer total. I spent most of my hunting early on in South Central and sw florida so there we hunted hogs and turkeys mostly.
From 1-4 a year of combined blacktail, mulies or whitetail bucks since 1955, never shot a doe or a "piss buck".
About 40
No idea.

Basket of antlers at Dads, his and mine.
Some in my shed.

Nicest one ever was a disappointment. I watched it head toward my daughter.
She didn't see it, the does spooked and it ran back past me.
I didn't let it go past that time. Most disappointing kill ever.
Look at the antlers in the rafters and think that every time.
Been hers, it would be on a plaque.
Salmonella: I also have harvested Blacktail, Whitetail and Mule Deer in my 62 years of Deer Hunting!
In the past I often Hunted 2 or 3 states a year for - I have harvested Deer in Utah, taxington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.
Back in the 1960's and early 1970's a Hunter could harvest 2 Mule Deer Bucks each season in much of eastern Montana and I took full advantage of that.
I am certain I have brought to bag well over 100 Buck Deer in my Hunting career.
Never did seek out to Hunt female Deer.
Last 7 Deer I have brought home were Whitetail Bucks.
I want to get back into Hunting high plains Mule Deer this season.
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
I quit counting in 1991 when I killed #25.

Mid fiddy Iā€™d guess.

We get one a year here in Oregon, two if you can swing an additional tag somehow, but Iā€™m not well versed in that process.

P
Killed my first at age 17. That was 55 years ago.
Don't have an exact number, but I'd guess 60+.

I let many years of memories get away from me.i didn't start keeping a hunting journal until about '03 or '04.
I will suggest if you don't keep one now, start.
I encourage all young hunters I encounter to begin keeping a journal.
I often take my journal to the field with me. Scary what you can forget! šŸ˜³
I go back and read my older journals (I now have 4!) and I'm always amazed at the small, important details I had forgotten.
You don't have to rewrite "War and Peace", but a few details like weather, time of day, range, rifle etc, etc...
Probably 25 or so.
Somewhere between 40-45, only gone 1 or 2 years without and some years took 2 or 3. Mostly whitetail and one muley. I will say I pass up way more than I ever have in the last few years. Reached a point in life where I understand that the experience matters more to me than the kill.
I have killed 21 or 22 bucks, maybe a few more that I can't remember. That would be over 59 years of deer hunting. I am picky when hunting deer and only shoot a mature bucks, and for many years even let mature bucks walk in hopes that my kids or grandkids could kill them. I was the scout.

Now for deer meat I have shot a few doe in my time.
The elusive muley "timber buck" in the high country always out smarted me during archery, and I saw some beauties,( mostly their ass end). Around here I have taken no more than a dozen with the bow, all whitetail! Have never hunted either with my 30/30.
In the last 6 years probably 20 with bow and another 20 with rifle/muzzle. Two wall mounts.
50 years old, buck kills getting progressively slower. Probably averaging one per year. That said, took three years between the last and the one before that.

Took a nice buck on "The Bluff" in the 2018. Had shoulder replacement surgery in Aug 2019. Doc said, "NO recoil for 2 years!"
All my hunting spots kinda dried up.
Finally, in '22, got a chance to get back in the game.
Got a shot at one doe and flubbed it! LOL! Never fired a shot.
Try again this year! šŸ˜‰ I'll be 73.
Have been keeping notes on my big game hunting since starting the in late 1960s. Have taken around 70 bucks--mule deer, whitetail, and a few axis.

Was mostly a meat hunter early on, but became a "trophy" hunter in my 30s, when I often went years without killing a buck. But my new wife was a great meat hunter, which allowed me to pass 'em up... Killed some big ones, of all three species.

In recent years have pretty much returned to meat hunting, partly because it's unlikely that I'll kill bigger-antlers bucks than those already on the walls. But would still shoot one if he showed up! Three years ago saw a BIG muley buck several times, but never in a place I could legally kill him....

Have found big bucks taste just as good as smaller ones--or does--if taken at the right time of year. Killed a mule deer buck in Alberta some years ago that resulted in 130 pounds of boned meat, all EXCELLENT! But he was taken in early November before the rut started. Some mule deer (but not all) can get a little iffy during the peak of the rut.

Have never had a bad-tasting whitetail buck, even during the later stages of the rut, and have hunted them in at least a dozen states.
I don't have a clue. In the 60's I hunted whitetail when there were just very few around and even seeing one was a rare thing. Now, we are covered up with deer. I see them in the yard all the time. With Georgia being very generous with tags as well as having a long season, I've killed a bunch. I still enjoy hunting just as much, but I don't usually shoot but one buck a year and maybe a doe.
Iā€™m not nearly as mad at them as I once was.

I've never been mad at them.
The prospect of full freezer bags makes
me very happy

I don't guess I've ever kept a count of
dead deer. I've always thought of them
as unprocessed food instead of the
majestic grand master of their domain.
Same with other animals and fish I've
killed and cut up
Excepting the varmints of course.
If things get bad enough, I might be
requesting possum and skunk recipes
Not enough good ones.
Quite a few but less now because I'm picky. Has to be mature and a minimum of 150. Let two walk last year that met the minimum but not age requirement. When I hunt west river I don't follow my rules. My kids can shoot whatever they desire. I connect around every other or third year on a 160s type buck it seems. I use a rifle but will try the crossbow as well now. Finally got the doc to sign the permit.

I can't imagine passing on 150" deer. Good for you though. That's big bucks

This last fall, I shot my 50 mule deer in a row. A nice buck for today. Almost all have been bucks. In addition I have taken quite a few whitetail bucks. I would have to get my journals out to find exactly how many. It has been fun.
This was my 25th hunting season. Usually, I get a decent buck every other year on average.

I would rather keep hunting then shoot the first legal one i see. The bucks are better nowadays than years ago. So it's easier to hold out for a good one than it was when I was younger.

Another fact, the definition of a good one is regional... Grin
You can usually tell the fudds who havenā€™t killed many deer. Shooting scrubs and does and never holding out or putting in the time while passing on little ā€˜uns.
Low-mid 20ā€™s of bucks, mostly blacktail but (3) mule deer too. Also a handful of spikes and a handful of does, all blacktails. Two bucks this year. Momma loves her some blacktail venison, and man can she COOK it!
I have hunted Texas Whitetails for 50+ years. Never kept records on the number of deer I killed. Besides the mounts in the house, and not counting cull buck antlers I cut up to make things from, There are 50 - 60 racks stored in my shop for "someday" projects.
Never really kept count, but I have been hunting for 70+ years.
I'm in the mid 20's for bucks
Mid 30's........ mostly mulies, a couple of blacktails and 1 whitetail.
17.5 bucks. Don't ask
have no ideal how many whitetail or mule deer bucks i have shot , at my age and this year i turn 70 been shoot`n deer since age 12 and have always lived in the country we never run out of venison , sorry i don`t know ?
I am approaching 500 deer kills.......3/4's of them were bucks. For years SC had no limits on bucks and high limits on does. It was easy to kill 15-25 deer a year. Still could, but we have buck limits now and I seldom shoot does anymore.
Ive killed about 115 bucks on one place that ive hunted for over 50 years
40-50 stand hunting . About the same in front of hounds
About 100 blacktails,a few muleys and never a whitetail which will be remedied this fall.
Best guess between 50 to 60, mostly bucks.
2 most years since I was 20. I am 61

Same here.
No idea never counted.
Been deer hunting for roughly 40 years, in the early years I always shot 2 or 3. More recently I either shoot a doe and a mature buck if I get a chance (probably happens about every 3rd year). Iā€™m guessing Iā€™ve shot 60 ish deer, probably 35 bucks. I really wish I would have kept a journal for all the seasons.
About 15 Axis & roughly 10 Whitetails
Vermont hunter for almost 20 years now. Im 3 for 3 the last 3 years in NY, Ive only every shot at one in VT (crossbow at 60, biggest deer Ive ever seen in the woods).
40-50. Lot of does when I was younger for meat. The first year we were married I killed 5 and we ate nothing but venison that year trying to save for a construction loan. Didnā€™t kill/eat any the next year, lol.
9 or ten and a lot more doe than bucks, but I havenā€™t deer hunted since 2011, only caribou, bear, and moose since then.
At least 50,000 at minimum. A lot more if you factor in the trucks, rifles, food, etc, etc
Originally Posted by battue

How many were silver?
About 3 dozen bucks.
Havent shot a deer last 3 yrs.
Dunno if Ill get another dozen at that rate LOL
I've been hunting deer for over 60 years. I never kept track. All I can say is it's been a lot and they've all been mulies. We don't have whitetails here.
Low 20ā€™s. Not a single one with a rifle
25 whitetail
1 muledeer
1 Axis

4 does
I have no idea. For the last 15+ years I only kill a buck a year. I wonā€™t kill two bucks similar in size. So I normally back off. Iā€™ll continue shooting does until I feel good with the amount of meat we have.
in PA it's probably around 35 or so bucks and i went to WV for 5 or 6 years and i killed 5 or 6 bucks. i can't keep count of how many does i have killed. i hunt for meat, not antlers.
Almost 40 years here. The last 15 have been a lot more selective than prior years. Iā€™d guess 75 or so. Iā€™ve got about 20 on the wall (mostly euro mounts)
3 whitetail bucks, rest were does.
Just enough to keep it interesting. Oh, and for my wife to proclaim, "no more dead deer heads on the walls!" blush cool
Been deer hunting a long time. I have some 17 Euro mounts and finally had one mounted regular style. Really can't say but somewhere around 60 or so. This includes Mulies, Blacktails and Whitetails.
I have a first gen Browning BLR .308 (with Bushnell Banner 1.75-4.5x20 scope) that I've killed 156 whitetail bucks with. I've killed another 55 whitetail bucks, +/- a couple, with various other rifles, shotguns, and muzzleloaders. And I've killed 3 pronghorn bucks.

My best conservative guesstimate is that I've killed around 70 whitetail does.

The great majority of these were killed in Alabama, where for decades we could kill a buck per day, or a buck and a doe per day.

Of all of these 210 +/- bucks, only about 20 or so of them are what I consider wall-hangers, although every one of them represents a memorable hunt.

Hound hunting for deer sounds cool!

Have any pictures to share Dog_hunter74?
I haven't kept track, but probably close to 50 bucks, all mule deer. Someday I'll have to hunt whitetails.

Not nearly as many does, as doe tags have been difficult to get in Oregon for quite a few years.
When I was younger I shot everything that was legal and I was happy now that I'm in my 40's I am very picky and o ly kill 2 bucks a year if I'm lucky
How many?
Heaven only knows!
Killed my first when I was 17. Last deer was '18....I think?
Had shoulder replacement surgery in 2019 and haven't killed a deer since. Buck OR doe!

Due to shoulder replacement, I had to switch from fixed action (bolt/falling block) to a semi auto (AR) to reduce recoil.
Hoping this year I'll get a chance to take another.

One time, I was thinking I had killed about a hundred or so.
Then I reread my journal.
Since 1967 when I killed my first, I've probably taken 50 to 60 deer, not all bucks! One muley and one antelope if those count.
Killed my first deer at age 9, 68 now. Hunt in SC low country. To date have killed better than 500. For years SC did not have a bag limit and I was killing 12 to 25 per season. I've backed off on the throttle now and only shoot 5-7 a season now.
All that I shot at !!!

Hip
107 Whitetails
37 with the BOW
12 With a crossbow
the rest with rifles and shotguns
And only around a dozen were Doe
[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]
this many plus some more and a couple hundred does
All I ate.
Enough that I've quit counting.
Over 300.Killed first one at age 9 in 1963. For many years SC did not have a buck limit. Once reaching adulthood I really started hammering them. Dog hunting and still hunting. Most I ever killed in one season was 19(bucks & does). I'm 68 now and still hard at it.

That is a lot, 19 in one season? How did you legally tag 19 deer???
Somewhwere between 60-70, blacktail, mulies, and only 2 whitetail.
If we could pull some data out of this it would be very interesting.
I would guestimate around 15 whitetail bucks. About 2 10 p0ints, 3or 4 8 points & the rest were smaller. Around 10 or 12 does also.

Says no buck limit in SC for many years.

Isn't/wasn't Alabama a 1 buck a day season?

That is a lot, 19 in one season? How did you legally tag 19 deer???
Says no buck limit in SC for many years.

Isn't/wasn't Alabama a 1 buck a day season?

Yes, when I was growing up AL was unlimited bucks (1 per day) with no antler restrictions. At that time there were no "doe days" aside from the occasional Muzzleloader hunt on a WMA or a limited number of draws (pull tag from box at game check/Warden's station) morning of the hunt...you'd either draw buck only or either sex. During that time, you could legally kill 1 buck per day from mid-October (start of bow season) until the end of January (rifle season usually started mid Nov). If someone had the time and inclination they could have killed ~100 bucks a year.

A quick google check showed that 2007 was when the 3 buck limit was implemented. Currently most of the state has the majority of the season as either sex or the entire season either sex. So now, if someone had the time and inclination, they could kill ~100(+) does per year...and 3 bucks.
I'm 55 now and killed my first deer(7pt.) when I was 14. Got the bug really bad after that. I've probably killed 3 or more does for every buck through the years and not ashamed about killing them either. As long as its legal and doesn't have a fawn with it then I'll shoot a doe as quickly as I would a buck. That could be the reason I haven't killed more bucks! I shoot the first legal deer and can't wait to get to the camp and eat the back straps for supper! All total I know has to be slightly over 100. I kept records for years but stopped 20-25 years ago when the total was in the sixties. Most I ever killed was in a year where I hunted two states. That year I took 3 does and 7 bucks. That was one fun deer season!
Iā€™ve never killed a real whopper, but I enjoy being out hunting, watching the sun come up.
up till a few years a go in FLA you could kill 2 bucks a day in bow/ml/gun . about 4 1/2 months . doe week you could kill 2 a day . at 2 a day limit is 120 plus for the year
I'm in my mid 40's and killed about 12-15 bucks, but none in the last 10 years. hunting opportunity has declined as kids got older.
A Bunch...Since Ga.is 2 Buck's A Year And If You Hunt The WMA's Hunts You Get Another Two Per Hunt .Over The Years I'd Say Somewhere Around 100 Give Or Take A Few..
Not near as many bucks as hogs!

Ya!

GWB
A bunch with a 5 yearly limit. I couldnā€™t even guess.

Good mature bucks? 12-15. I would have to go count.
This was two house down last week, Iā€™d put a feeder up but pigs would be fuuucking up my yard soon after

I like killing them SOBā€™s too
I have been deer hunting since november of 1974 and I myself have wondered that same question. when I was a youngster I hunted in lower missouri along the arkansas boarder with my uncle that drove a milk truck in the general area. He always had a long list of very old or very poor people that we would kill deer for. some really needed what we gave them to make it . I do remember the most I killed in one year was 27 and he killed 29 . we had a blst but sure could have gotten in a lot of trouble. I learned to shot a deer on the run out the passenger window of his truck . none of that stuff would fly these days no matter what you were doing to feed people .

It's a pleasure to me that other people
are killing those stinky hairy vandals.
I'd have to work hard to do the kind of
damage they do with ease

They can tear up a pasture real bad, real quick. My friend had to put hog panels around his ten acre hay patch. They kept rooting it up.
Bucks?

Not many.

Only 1 buck on the wall. A funky rack 8 pt.

I like killing does.

Was in a camp with a couple guys that didnt hunt much, when they did they wanted to hunt for bucks.
No problem. Id kill the does.
89 Whitetail, 9 Mulie Bucks. Two biggest Whitetails were both with bow: 167 2/8 P&Y and 160 P&Y
Not an easy question - I can't remember how old I was when I killed my first buck, but it was 50+ yrs ago (I/m 84 now). I lived in Georgia for about 25 of those years and GA., for the most part limited to 2 bucks annually - which I generally limited out.I've lived in Florida for the last 25 yrs and Fla. has weird bag limits, in my opinion, 2 in possession, so, my limit was determined by how much freezer room I had!! Lately Fla. has gotten more conservative and has placed limits on Antlered and Non Antlered deer. Looking back I'll venture a WAG (wild a** guess) and estimate 75 (+/-) bucks; however, for the last several years I have gone after the Does, as I think they taste better. I might add that where I live here in Fla. deer are a nuisance - One cannot have a vegetable garden, as the deer will quickly put you out of business!!
I probably win the ā€œmost with a pickupā€. My boss wasnā€™t too happy about it, but I killed quite a few in 43 years driving around 1.5 million miles. I even got one in Yellowstone Parkā€¦

a few of them
Hunting MT only for the past 45 years I believe the number is 39.
If you can count them you haven't killed enough! Born in raised in the south we have an advantage with numbers over our Northern brethren. For may years Florida was 2 deer a day with no season limit. My personal best was 8 bucks 6pt or bigger before thanksgiving. Still killing them but not after them as hard these days. 3-4 bucks a year on average
Not many BUCKS - shot a lot of STAGS though.
Almost 68, started when I was 13, maybe 10 mule deer bucks and 30 some whitetail bucks. And maybe 45 doeā€™s
