I killed three nice bucks this past season, and I’m thankful to the good Lord for sending them my way. I got the last one back from the taxidermist a couple days ago.

Left is with a crossbow, middle is 20 gauge slug gun, right one was with a 7mm-08.

Left and middle came from Fort Knox in Kentucky. Bucks killed on Knox are “bonus” deer and don’t count towards the state limit. Also, being a federal facility, they make their own rules and allow one archery buck plus one gun buck (despite the KY limit only being one buck per year). The right one was killed in north Alabama.

Yeah this year was expensive. Sure was a lot of fun though.
Here’s a couple more pics of that middle one. The green score (gross) was 161 2/8”.

What a deer season. It would take me ten plus years to shoot nice bucks like that were I live.
