Sorry for the picture posting size (first attempt). First picture is buck I took in 2007. 2nd picture is buck I took in 2008. Next 2 pictures are of my daughters first buck. The last 2 pictures are of the famous 268 2/8 Camp Bullis Buck that was killed with a Buck pocket knife in 2004.
Story of the Bullis Buck... http://www.realtree.com/community/feature.php?ID=218
Very Nice bucks Tom. The story of the Bullis Buck is quite interesting.
Fantastic whitetails Tom. Wow!
Nice bucks Tom. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It's great to see that you have taken the time to get your daughter out hunting. Congrats to you both!
That's quite a story about the Bullis buck. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
That is a very impressive buck Tom. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing those great deer with us.
What county are your bucks and yours daughter's from?

Thanks,

stumpy
All of these deer came frome right here in San Antonio, TX at Camp Bullis (Army Training Site). It is 28,000 acres and I have hunted there for over 20 years.

If you ever get the chance to hunt camp Stanley, do it. laugh

Great pictures.

BP...
Thanks. Just wondered. We hunt Atascosa Co. and your daughter's buck looks like the type of deer we have seen over the past 16 years.

Camp Stanley is employee only hunting due to weapons storage. I sure would like to though.
Very nice bucks!
nice bucks, you have it made in texas my friend, because those are monsters.
Camonick, Texas is a big state! Big bucks like those are not everywhere here I assure you smile

Awesome deer TomA!

stumpy,

Where do you hunt in Atascosa Co. if you don't mind me asking? I grew up in Charlotte...Mom and Dad still live there.

-Dan
Charlotte, I use to guide some archery hunts on the Seeger Ranch some 9-10 years ago. Nice little town. Tom
I guess it has its unique charm, but I'd come closer to describing it as a $hithole. lol

Damn good Mexican food though!
Close to Jourdanton.
Lots of hunting pressure, but great genetics. Maybe not like Camp Bullis, but heavy, lots of stickers and cheater points.

I've posted this picture before, but this buck was shot on the ranch I grew up on (my Dad manages the place...we don't own it unfortunately).

Yep, you can't beat Linda's. Getting damn expensive though. Last time a big ole hamburger with fries and tea cost nearly five dollars. I feel guilty when I go pay the bill because it so damn cheap so I leave a healthy tip.

clark, where abouts is the ranch your buck came from? Was it off the Wilson ranch?

BP...
M16, funny that you would mention Linda's. I ate there every day at lunch the entire time I was in high school. At the time she was in a little portable building with about 4 tables. Every Friday during football season she would fix all of us football players cake or cookies for desert. I think back then we paid about $4 for a enchilada plate with rice, beans and a glass of tea.

BP, I don't want to name the place it came off of, but it's SW of Charlotte in Atascosa Co.
Thanks. When I dream of a brush country buck, that's what he looks like. With a drop where that bump is! grin

The reason I asked was because it looks like a buck my cousin killed around thanksgiving about 10 years ago. It ranked 5th in Tx. non typical. Just curious if you shot the deer or Gary B.

Best to ya .. BP...
Nah, I didn't shoot it, the ranch owner's grandson shot it. Sorry if I implied that somewhere. That's actually a replica of the real deer. It was shot about 5 years ago and netted 187 2/8.
