Never had a chance to get out with the Bow and on opening day of the rifle season I worked till 8AM then broke a fever when I got home from a sinus/upper respiratory infection that kept me out of the woods till the second day of the shotgun/rifle/revolver season. At 8:50 AM I shot this 8 point Buck with my 10.5" S&W PC 460XVR, he weighed 145lbs dressed so he was around 185lbs live weight according to the chart I have. Not a monster but he's my first with the revolver, so he will be mounted. Don't know if it is the first with a hand gun in CT but everyone at the check station and my taxidermist hadn't heard of one taken with one yet. The law to allow revolvers was passed late last year and most people still don't know it is allowed. Here are a few more pictures.
