Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.
I was pretty happy with this buck although he doesn't score very big. 32 inches wide and atleast 7 1/2 years old.
264 Win mag with 140gr VLDs.
Shot was 450yds standing off the sticks and had to sort him out of a group of 25 or so in the brush.
He looks plenty big to me.
Congratulations!
Congrats John! Score is relative in my opinion, that's a trophy in just about anybody's eye.
CF
He is impressive for sure. Handsome, not so much, but a big'un

Phugggggggggggggggg the score. That's a cool, old warrior with gobs of character, and, one that made a great memory. No scoring system can put a number on that.
Nice shootin', JB.
Nice work JB! I would take one like that over just a high scoring "typical" any day.
Screw the score - That's a stud -
Yeah, what G said!
Well done John!
Dober
Heck of a cool buck! Tons of personality there! Congrats.
I'd rather shoot a buck like this....wide and heavy, with character......than a typical, any day. Congrats on a great deer.
Great buck. I don't give the first thought to score.
ddj
That's a nice buck you got there John! Looks like more than a shooter to me.
Nice buck! Got to love the wide ones!!
That is definitely a blind hog...
And a sweet buck!!
That is definitely a blind hog...
And a sweet buck!!
Lmao!!
Great buck!!!!
Like others have already said, maybe not a high scoring buck but one heck of a trophy anyway you look at it. Congrats to you, that is a fine trophy!!!
Damn it man!! As every one says-the score is of no importance, super buck! Good going.
Great buck John!
Love the mass and character.
Congrats!
That is definitely a blind hog...

Lmao!!
Great buck!!!!
Please don't encourage him. He was a pleasant young man when he first showed up but has fallen in with a bad crowd.
Where bouts in WY did you take him? Former Flattops, Powder Rim and Kinney Rim hunter and resident myself...
Congrats JB

John hunts the South Rim of Notellum Draw.
It is north of somewhere, east of everywhere and west of where ever.
Very nice. Us whitetail guys wouldnt hestitate on a muley like that!!!! congrats.

Not sure exactly where, but he did say it was directly over the center of the earth

Whoops
That buck looks to be an absolute lunker in the body department!
Cool buck.
450 "standing".. That is impressive.
Big Muleys are truly about my favorite big game animal.
Something to be said for a real old buck too, regardless of his score.
That's cool JB, really cool.

Now the secret is out, I told you not to tell everybody Scott.
Thanks guys, I was a pretty happy guy that morning.
That's stud for sure!!! Congrats!!!!
I think you should have let him walk
So i could have shot him
im with most others here- I love the character of that old buck. Hopefully the same can be said about me when i get up in years
Some deer are just BIG even though they don't score well. An ex GF shot a WT that dwarfs most 165in bucks yet scores in the low 150's. JB's buck is BIG and I would absolutely shoot him over most 190in typicals. Matter of fact I would fall all over myself trying to kill him.
Heck of a buck John. Congratulations!
outstanding buck!
i don't suppose you'd tell me the general location you got him?
(not behind the shoulder)
i didn't even hunt for big game this year (the 1st time since about 1997)
i'm getting old now and the thrill is nearly gone for deer
i'm sick of fighting the local crowds
That's a keeper! Score be damned!
My buddy Scott killed this buck on the last day of the season. Another .264 Win Mag/140gr VLD kill.
He felt bad as the buck was only 4 1/2yrs but it is very hard to pass a 192 gross buck.
Buck was running at 400yds. He hit it to far back on a quartering angle but the VLD did it's job and the buck was dead before he could get another shot.
The elk was shot at 980yds using the same rifle/bullet.(Scott calls it "The Green Hornet")
Dang, nice buck! Thanks for sharing the pics, John. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Those are two very nice bucks! Congrats!

You look like you have a cactus up your ass.
Gorgeous buck. Congrats to you sir.
Travis
John those are really two great deer...yours looks like an old timer on the mend....your friends buck is a beauty as well.
Your buck would have been real safe from me if I had to shoot 450 yards standing....nice shot!
I like the garage with all the animal parts!
Beautiful Muley. I like the tall ones.
Nice buck John! Love the mass....
You making it to my shoot this spring?
Screw the score - That's a stud -
I'll second that! Congrats on a cool looking buck.
Nice buck John! Love the mass....

Planning on it this year if the wheels don't fall off and the creek don't rise.
Never cared about score, love big frames and mass.
