Got the whitetail mule deer cross I shot two seasons ago. Thought you might want to see it.
Nice deer and good to see you back!

Great to see you back, you were missed.
Great to see you back, you were missed.
It sure is. Hope you're doing well Karnis.
Damn boy, where ya been...did Momma Karnis get a buck this year? powdr
Of course. I sat or laid on the couch most of the time we were out there. Lost a couple more rifles to her as well.
Here's where my 7x57 went down the chitter.
Nice mount and great to see you back!!
+1; you've been missed!
Ditto! How's the back doing?
Sort of OK. Hate to add details as they're kind of boring and unrelated to the OP.
Thanks for asking.
Nice buck - glad to see you back too!
For the uninitiated, could you point out the obvious indicators? I'd simply call it a whitetail.
Lack of upper teeth, deep tear ducts, longer ears, whitetail "tail". It was chasing mule deer does when spotted and doing the same thing the following day when shot. Also had the longer hair frequently seen on mule deer hooves.
Very odd duck. Had to call the local warden to obtain instructions on how to tag it. He said mule deer.
First I've ever seen and I've hunted both for a long time. Same thing with hunting bud who was with me. He told me he didn't believe it could happen and there was one at his feet.
Cool deer. Glad you're on the mend!
Glad to see ya back posting Brochevic!
None of our native deer (whitetail and mulies included) have upper incisors. A great trick question in one of my wildlife classes. Just a hard pad. Bugle teeth in elk, but none in deer.
Nice buck regardless of heritage.
Perhaps I should've measured the metatarsals. Sigh.
Hi Karnis. What a beauty. Wish there were more of the cross breeds out there. Great rack and my heart would still be pounding.
Add me to the following of well wishers glad to see you.
Hey- I am about to head to the range and fire off all my mixed remaining loads so I can start fresh if interested.
Very nice deer, congrats.
Karnis, Nice buck no matter what flavor it is!!
