Thank you. The dark rack was the main reason I got that one mounted. I've shot a lot of KS bucks around there, but none with a dark rack like that. It reminded me of some of the pics you see of Canadian bucks. Maybe it had to do with the season? The other bucks I saw that morning all still had velvet.
@Steelhead, not sure what you're talking about- the sidewalk, maybe?
He was bedded, and all I could see was that dark rack sticking up over the grass. It seemed like an eternity, but was maybe 20 minutes, before he finally stood up and I drilled him.
He was a pretty big deer, but I never weighed him. For a little scale I weight just under 300lbs. (or just over, depending on breakfast ).
