I saw a decent one the other day. It won't be long, and I will be headed up high to find one.

Nothing big, but sure was pretty light...

At first glance, I thought I'd found a couple dandy bucks....nope, just bull elk, a long ways from the trees.

The country sure is green this year.....

Good for growing those big antlers we like.

I saw a dandy yesterday morning across the Missouri but he slipped back into the bushes before I got the camera.



And I'm jealous of your greenery Pat, we haven't been lucky in the thunder storm department, drying up pretty quick here.

That was taken out south this morning...moisture has been spotty everywhere this summer. Some of this winter wheat is getting ready fast with these hot days.

Couple from yesterday.

I just got back from CO. This is the biggest one I saw this year. It looks like a monster to me, but I have very limited exposure to Mule Deer. Everything makes the coastal bucks I hunt look puny.

These were a bit far away. They look decent. I Guess it's the time of year for bachelor groups in Mule Deer country. I only saw one solo buck.

Huntsman, pardon my ignorance, but would you consider the largest of those bucks to be shooters when the season rolls around?

There were 3 that were 28" or so. I'd plunk one, if I couldn't find something bigger....
