While going thru my pictures to find some 8 pointers to put in Otter6 thread, I thought it would interesting to post up a favorite trail cam pic.

I set up a trail cam on a scrap and it captured a huge buck laying down. Never seen him since.

Fantastic picture of a very nice buck, a no brainer shooter.....I wish i knew how to post pics....Hb
I have gotten pictures of him for four years, but only one sequence during daylight. 12 yards in front of my stand while I was bow hunting in a different stand. I walked up on him at the edge of my yard once during bow season, only time I saw him in person. He was occupied with a doe but I had no shot.

This one is special to me. I never saw him but found his sheds 3/4 mi away the next spring. I never got a pic of him and never saw him but I found some big rubs the next year right where I found his sheds .
A few here and there.[Linked Image][Linked Image]
That is a nice buck, 54woody.
Fyrepowrx, a lot of nice bucks in those pics.
ihookem, northern or southern Wisconsin deer?

Holy MACKEL Andy ! What a HOSS !

Jerry
I have come to believe that trail cameras are the best and worst thing that has affected the way I hunt. Because I now know if there is a special buck in my area I stay in the stand longer, hunt more days, tolerate bad weather. But I also eat my tag by waiting for the big boy. Indiana has a one buck rule so I have to decide which one is the one. Other than the buck above which I have stopped waiting on, this was the biggest buck on my place last year.
[Linked Image]
This picture was in front of my stand the afternoon after I took the buck below from the same stand that morning. Both nice deer but I wasn't waiting any longer for the big boy because I had not punched a tag at home in two years. Maybe this year I'll hold out again.
[Linked Image]
My son killed this deer that same season. Wish he could have had a few more years to mature, but with the Mennonites around that shoot anything with hair, it's extremely doubtful the buck would have made it. [Linked Image]
James, do have a picture of your son with the deer without velvet?

Roundoak, those are all Price co. bucks.
I do have some bruiser bucks from Washington co., 20 mi. south of Fon Du Lac where I live. Perhaps those are also in order. I get very few big bucks on the trail cam in northern WIs. the last 8 yrs.
[Linked Image][Linked Image]
Last years buck. Antlers look outsized compared to his body because of his alignment to the camera.
[Linked Image]
A little more realistic, rough measured at 161+
[Linked Image]

He's at the Taxidermist now.
S H A Z A A M Andy !!!

Antlers don’t look small when he’s on the ground.

Can someone help?
I cannot post pictures.
I have a couple pics that are, I think, cool, not monsters but--
Can text them to someone who will post.
Not a trail camera pic but was taken from my front door last September.

Yes TBREW, I can and will post pix for you BUT let me give you some encouragement, from my experience.

It's EASY and quick to open an IMGUR.com account. Once you have done that, pull up IMGUR on your puter.
I load ALL my pix from my Iphone--- to IMGUR. Open imgur on your phone, touch the camera icon and follow the instructions.
They will load to IMGUR and then you post from IMGUR to the Campfire.

It really is EASIER to do than explain. Trust me.
Good Luck

Jerry
Thanks jwall, will try it
TBREW

If you have problems, PM me and we'll discuss texting your pix.

Bateman couldn’t have composed it better. A perfect moment in time.
a couple pix of the same buck...he's an older big bodied 10 pointer, have had a number of pix of him, but have yet to ever see him in person.
will see if i can find some front pics of him, he's fairly wide.

This was him in January 2017:
[Linked Image]

and, him again, in October of 2017, about 400 yards away from the first pic...i have a heavily timbered valley with a lot of brush running through my farm & all pix of him are near that spot. Have looked back through pix, thinking he was 5-1/2 yrs old last fall. i put 2 cameras out near these spots last week, going to see if there is any pics of him, and see how he's changed with another year on him and see what he looks like at 6-1/2.

[Linked Image]
Fyrepowr

Great Pix, Great Buck.

I'm NO expert but IMO it seems to me he's older than 5-6 1/2. He's already got gray on his face between eyes & nose.
Hopefully you can collect him this season. GOOD Luck
i've wondered about his age, in some pix he looks like he could be older than i had thought, so am eager to see what pix come show up; spending the next 3 days working the farm to get ready for deer season.

putting out 6 more cameras this weekend in between working the plots & clearing timber.

Jwall,

Don't be too certain of that. The biggest, baddest buck I have ever seen anywhere was about a quarter mile from our farm house. I walked some CRP to get a couple pheasants and almost dropped a rooster right on him. My little springer ran over to get the bird and the buck stood up. He was huge with double drop tines. He jumped the fence and ran up on the hill a hundred or so yards away. He watched me until I started back to the house then trotted back down, jumped the fence and went back to where he had been laying up. Never saw him again or heard of anyone getting one that could have been him. They are out there!
Louisiana Delta bottom land deer. We named him Dracula, never saw him except at night on trail cams. Good buddy finally was able to harvest him.

(-Am I confused ? It says you are in Nebraska ?)- Disregard -- confusion cleared UP. Thnx

ATST, a few years back - maybe 2015 ? an Arkansas hunter killed the NEW record buck for Ark. BobinNH was still alive and we talked about it. I can't remember if someone posted a pic here on the 'fire' or not. I have the Newspaper pic and article.
--- I'll see what I can find --

Yes, J D - Ark has some BRUISERS. Many come from the Delta Farm Land.....no surprise.

I've hunted Ark since 1972 and La, Miss, & Al. At the time I hunted in the "Golden Triangle" of Al. Saw lots of deer but NONE close to the ones pictured here or the Record for Ark.

In my LIFETIME, I have seen 2 that I would call monsters BUT imo - they were not in that category.

I'd be MORE than glad to see 1.
shocked

Yikes... blush

No luck. I’m surprised !

I have a scrap-book box that I keep Obits, pix, events, etc. I went to the bottom of the box. I remember the article and pic.
I remember telling BobNH where to find it on line.

I know it was before 2016. Couldn’t find the pic. Sorry

All these pictures , both sets , were from last year and before , haven't seen anything to get excited about this year . But have not pursued with camera much this year as our hunting was iffy as to wether we would still have it this year . They finally got it squared away , so this year is a we will see year .
