I thought this was an 8 point when I shot. I believe the hoof issue is called foundering? Could not find any evidence of a past injury, other than the one I created.

I've always liked the ones with the "junk" on the noggin.

This is my 'weirdest'. I saw him in Oct 2016 before season and named him "Freak".
There was no sign of any injury or breakage to/on his rack.

In Dec. he made his last mistake following a hot Doe and was killed by the Venerable Veteran 30-06 in a Rem Model Six

He was a fighter. This is a gore wound 1-2" deep.

These are all some neat looking antlers and the last one taken with my favorite deer rifle the Rem. pump. I am a little surprised to see so few though?

Jim, This guy isn't non typical but was lacking in genetics OR was on the downhill side of age. Dec. '14, 7 mm RM. He weighed @ 170 lbs.
He fell to his off side which is on the R side of the blood on the ground. I turned him around for the pic.

Nice buck Jerry. Whatever the reason, that's a pretty nice six point.

I am adding these two pics. He had a severely shattered front leg & shoulder from a bullet wound the year before at least. The wound was healed but the bone never fused at the joint so his leg was misshapen and swinging freely. He could not walk on it. There were bullet fragments under the hide and along the bottom of the brisket. He was still rubbing trees and both brow tines are broken off.

One antlered elk. Three bases trying to grow out of skull. Skull fractured numerous times. Brain matter oozing out of skull when I killed him.

Used to see strange racks like that whenever I hunted over by Mosby Montana. Must be the water or mineral content in the grass.
