Found these two buck carcasses at the end of my street the other morning.
I wouldn't even care if someone killed a deer for meat but the criminals cut off the heads and left front quarters and loins.
We have a season that's 4 months long and licence less than $20.
Why someone would feel the need to do this is beyond me.
No matter how big the rack was how could someone feel any pride in having it if the took it spotlighting?

Shameful. No doubt the perps have great "hunting" stories made up about their noble accomplishments.

Actual hunters get the heat from the public about this stuff, just like the boned carcasses that get dumped out along county roads and attract dogs and scavengers, when it's perfectly okay to put the bones in trash bags for the regular pickup.

Last week, someone shot and killed a deer at 5 in the morning on the stretch of road I live on. It was an hour before daylight, and in between a couple of houses, very brazen and dangerous act. Poachers and azzwipe hunters don't care where they shoot one, or how they dispose of it.

How do you know they were spotlighted ? Maybe the heads and hind quarters were just all they wanted. I know guys who hunt ONLY for horns and don't want or use any of the meat.

I know 4 DNR agents and the sheriff.
This isn't the first deer dumped.
They, he, whoever has been caught on camera driving a FORD BRONCO light in color with a dark stripe and light bar, pulling into a field and lighting it up then backing out.

I'm sorry that you know guys who would do something like this. You should probably find new friends.

Never said they were friends Einstein. Said I knew them. You are good at jumping to conclusions. The fact is, you have no proof those deer were spotlighted. And lots of folks spotlight fields just to see whats out there. Perfectly legal to do here as long as you don't have a rifle in the vehicle. Hunters created these guys who only care about antlers by placing so much value on them. The trophy craze has turned deer hunting into just another dick measuring contest.

Your right.
I did make an assumption that your "knowing" guys meant your associated with them.
My apologies.
To point, regardless of someone's desire to rack hunt, cutting off quarters and dumping headless carcasses on private property doesn't strike me as admirable behavior under any circumstances. That coupled with the fact that similar carcasses have been dumped in the area and pictures of the vehicle lighting up a pasture while circumstantial, is highly probable.
As to spotlightings legality, you are allowed top observe deer, you are not allowed to trespass to do it however.
Again, apologies for the assumption regards to your associates.

I agree that dumping headless carcasses on private property is despicable behavior regardless. I don't approve of folks cutting off heads or heads and hind quarters either but I have found such here myself. Anyway, have a happy thanksgiving and try not to let it bother you too much.

A-holes like this have no respect for anything, including the animals, and shed a bad light on responsible hunters.

I hate that, real hunters get punished when a-holes hunt illegally! They close of 16,000 acres of public land to a restricted draw gun hunt for 1 week and bow only the rest of the season. For 3 months we have road hunters taking pop shots at anything moving on private land.

Found a bull elk in similar condition this past season minus head and hind quarters.

Maybe it was some coyote rehab wacko dumping eats in the area where they turned some loose.
Posted By: ringworm Re: Sorry chit sacks - 11/30/19
As many get hit by cars the coyotes are well fed. Buzzards too.

They ought to hang a sumbitch that does stuff like this.

Its called "anarchy", (Bible calls it rebellion) doing what I want when I want. Its all in society, even in church.

I’ve no use for anyone that does that. We have our fair share of that type here.

Wonder why the straps were left?
