Percy. the Bighorn 6.5 PRC. 428 yards
Heck of a buck - congrats! Be a fun place to hunt - not much to hide behind though is there???
Nope, pretty open. I plinked him from up on the hill by that machinery shed in the background of the last pic
Good ol mature buck right there!! Congrats Don
Nice buck and extra credit for being able to drive close for the retrieval!

That's a beauty huntsman22. I noticed you tend to locate some monsters out east!
That's a beauty huntsman22. I noticed you tend to locate some monsters out east! Isn't your other Bighorn rifle getting jealous? Your son used Percy too for his elk!
Nice buck. That’s certainly no yearling...nice mass all the way out đŸ˜€
All skinned, hung in the barn and tomorrows hay loaded. The head is ready to be CWD tested. I'm in a mandatory test area......

Nah, Wade used Polly Creed on his cow. Different color stock.....
Good looking blade as well. I should know this but who is maker of knife?
Ryan Arrington. Might could be my fave blade.....

I missed this aalf.... 147 eld over Retumbo at 2910 outta the 22 inch barrel. I was surprised at no exit, and didn't find the bullet. They've exited elk.....

I was wondering where to get the fold down steps on the back of the flatbed.

Ebay is your friend....
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...p;_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_oac=1I got 'em on the back. and put one on each side toolbox. Makes it a lot easier for an old bastid to climb up and down to shovel hay.....
They also make them in stainless......
That's what I like to see....
As far as a sickle section twine slicer, I have been pretty creative over the years, and have all kinds of random Hannibal Lecter stuff laying around.
Beauty Don !
It appears you know what you're doing !
Nice buck there Don! Glad you got a good one.
Good one hell of a shot wish I could back a truck to mine much less a atv
Congrads on the Great Buck Don!
Awesome buck. Congratulations. I need to rig up a system like yours for getting those big bucks in the bed of a truck. It was all I wanted even being able to back up to a small berm to load him.
I went hunting right after feeding. If I woulda been thinking, the come-along and atv ramps would have been on the truck. Much easier to load that way, than a fugging ratchet strap and baler twine.....

Sometimes you have to improvise!!! Lol. I was almost to the point of quartering mine, then I looked over and saw that berm. It was just enough. Lol.
Great looking deer, good for you.
boss kilt a gnarly old prairie warrior this afternoon. He wife hunts tomorrow and saturday. We didn't see any real big ones today.
Way to go Don --- and Finn.
Nice buck, Don! Congrats!
All done with our Late Plains season, a day before it ends. The boss' wife kilt her deer today.
That’s a nice knife
Cool buck(s) too
Great bucks Hunts! looks like you all had a great season, they all have to be CWD tested? Something about that wide open prairie that can hide great deer like yours, that makes you just shake your head. MB
yeah, mandatory test area
That's awesome! Beautiful deer! Thanks for sharing. Looks cold enough to let em' hang awhile, lol.
