I'm looking to see what the going rate for a Marlin 336 Marauder in 30-30 is. I looked on gunbroker and only found the 35Rem, which i read is harder to find and more valuable. The rifle is in 90%+ condition. Thanks for any info.
The reason I was asking there was one at a local auction, and I had never seen one before. It ended up selling for $1063.
These days, a lot! I won’t even guess.
Whomever is chasing one should be fully armed with as much knowledge as possible on the subject. From what I have read the Marauders are fairly easily faked.
True, any 336 chambered in .32 WS, .35 Rem, etc will bring a premium over the ubiquitous 30-30. Marauders and the RS are often counterfeit versions of a more common variant.
Buyer beware.
While I avoid Gunbroker due to their failure to stand behind me when I was srewed on a deal, and their charging sales tax..
Look up complete sales to give you an idea. Lots of gums are listed but not sold due to high prices.
FWIW, I see the prices starting to level off
