I'm looking for a follower tube for a 1996 model, (serial number 04204842), Marlin model 60. The feed tube is about 4" shorter than the barrel length. Can any of you Marlin experts tell me which length follower I need? Seems there are about 4 different lengths. at the price of them, I don't want to buy the wrong length.

Thanks; John
Anybody???
Assuming you want the -992 tube, there are basically two lengths made with two different end cap materials. A long and short (yours) in blued or stainless.
Try Popperts gun parts
I can't find the length I need. I think it takes like a 17 5/16 or something. It belongs to my Nephew, and I can never catch him home.

17-15/16”

Marlin number 507922 for the blued 1996 inner magazine tube. There will be plenty of spare parts when Ruger gets around to making the Model 60. You’ll probably have to get a used one for now or make your own. Better yet, put a new style long outter tube on the rifle, then buy a new style long inner tube.
