It looks like a 336 to me. Never heard of one in 357 Mag but you can learn something new every day if you're not careful. smile

Interesting, I've handled and worked on literally thousands of Marlin lever rifles and read the Brophy book, I've never heard of one.
There is a discussion and pictures of the round bolt 1894's over at MarlinOwners.com with pictures. Serial numbers show 1988 production with pistol grip stocks.....nice.

Yeah, I saw the thread over there, not a member could'nt respond and didn't want to create ANOTHER log in. It sold for $4715, I was the under bidder @ $4600

The Col. was about dead when this gun came out.
