1939 I picked up at local gunshow last month.
Enjoy

Sweet. Here's a pic of its predecessor, the model 39. The year of manufacture is hard to pinpoint because Marlin's records are not complete, but it is a low serial number.
Crsides, nice gun. Is it all original or has there been some prior restoration work done to it? If original it is in unbelievable condition and a real find. Congrats on finding it.
As far as I can tell, all original. The action was so smooth. I opened it up and it was packed with cosmoline. It has been fired and a couple marks on the stock, but it is nice. I had a Marlin guy with me when I bought it and he said go for it. He has just bought a 1897 deluxe last month, and it is as pretty a gun as I have ever seen.

My 1946 M39....she's lived a hard life but she still shoots like a house-a-fire.
Yeah, earlier with my 1954 39A.

A sweet gun there. I have a later one but with the milled parts. Made before they started stamping out the parts. Shot two mags of Federal Auto Match last week. Had forgotten how slick it really is. Rusty
