Picked this up today at a local pawn shop has had it for a while. Have not seen one or shop owner. Came home with me for 125 out the door. Do not know much about this model. Any info would helpful. Thanks

They were made from 1964 - 1978. Designed to resemble the US .30 caliber M 1 carbine of WWII fame. Same basic semi auto action as the Marlin model 60. Many today are missing the rear sight as they were removed to mount a scope and became lost. The rear sights alone usually sell for 50 - 75.00.

Thanks Blackheart,Yes it still has rear sight. Have not cleaned yet to shoot. Was working on Winchester 100 this weekend waiting on firing pin now. So this sat will be the Marlin on the bench for a tear down and cleaning. Then to the back yard for test firing.

Good luck with it. Mine shoots very well and has been extremely reliable. They're very light and handy and make an excellent small game getter.
