i know this is the 336 forum, but I also figure that some of you regulars on here are going to be familiar enough with other Marlins that you can maybe help me. I am going to be selling some guns from my late brothers estate for his wife. He had 5 Marlin lever actions, listed as follows.........
Marlin 444, and I cannot find any information from the serial number as to when it was made. Might have written number down wrong, but it is probably from the 80's to 90's date.
Marlin 336, 35 REM, made in 1990
Marlin 308MX, I forgot to write down the serail number.
Marlin 1894, 44 Mag, Lyman peep, made in 1977
Marlin 1894C, 357, Williams peep, made in 2001.

All the rifles are blued, walnut stocked, and in very good condition. I haven't made pics yet, just started this process. She asked what I thought they were worth, and with the exception of the 35 Rem, I'm not familiar with the rest. I know that without pics, it would be hard to determine a value, and I'm not asking for anything other than a good guess. Any help would be appreciated.

as usual the pre safey no matter what Marlins are more desirable....this is pre 1983 (ish)

Click my link for date codes........I'm a Marlin Nut too........

From your list shown you have all desirable Marlins......

Sure the market may be soft......but do not give em away......

JM stamped Marlins are not built any more.......no model 39's ???

Thanks tikka. I'm kind of kicking around the idea of buying the 444 myself, just in case a bear ever shows up here........lol. Seriously, just always wanted a big bore lever gun so I could say I had one.
