Accoriding to news reports yesterday Sturm Ruger was the high bbidder for marlin at the Remington bankrupty auction.
Ruger bought the "Marlin" name and manufacturing equipment. No real property inovlved and Big R to move all to Prescott, Az for manufacture. Sad question/vacuum of the current employees. At best except perhaps for a few 'key' folks, a move on their own dime... If even jobs offered! I always end up thinking about such stuff as firms go under, downsize, layoff, etc. The 'human' side! At least believe the 'mark' is in good hands!
