But I got to try.... Is there anyone considering selling a 336 or 30as In 30-30? After having sold my Marlin years ago I still have the passion for the ol 30-30.
I want to buy another. I don't want a safe queen, because I have plans to use it for it's intended purpose and that's to hunt deer with it.
I could go buy a new one but the Remlin's just ain't the same as a true JM stamped Marlin. I don't care if it has cross Bolt safety or not I'm just looking for a good honest rifle at a good honest price.
If you have a decent rifle at a good price, and I don't mean the ultra inflated prices some people are asking for them, please let me know
Thanks and God Bless

Best bet would be to put this in the classifieds.

The market for used hunting rifles is pretty soft right now, be patient and dont jump on the first one you find at a high price, you will find what you're looking for sooner or later

Did that over a week ago. Just thought someone who frequently visits here may have missed it.

Now you can wait and buy Rugerlin...might be worth waiting for.

New Marlins are really good. Anything since 2015 is fine. Prior to that, the did have issues with some guns.
I avoid Gunbroker, but find Gunsinternational to be better. Fixed prices, and better prices. A lot of guns sit for long times on GB because the are so over priced.
I have my Remingotn 660 350 Mag listed on there now myself

It would help if you told us how much your willing to spend. In my neck of the woods (PA) JM stamped rifles in decent condition go for around $400-$450. Quite a few available in that price range at gun shows.

I would have no problem giving $400 for a decent 336

This is the best priced one at GI. I think it may be too much.

But I have two Marlins made by Remington and I think they are as good as the JM Marlins I own.

I got tired of waiting and looking, went by my local Walmart, I absolutely Hate, they are selling out all of their guns and just so happen to have a 336 in the cabinet. It's a Remlin but for $389 I couldn't walk away empty handed
