I thought I would mention this to you Marlin types.
I went to a LGS today to inspect a large collection of Winchester pre-64 Model 70's and was so caught up in dealing on them I wish I would have gotten more info for you's guy's.
Anyway I looked at and held for just a couple seconds both guns and they sure looked nice to me.
The Model 1894 in 25-20 caliber was tagged at $999.99 and their website lists its condition at 97%.
The Model 410 lever action Rifle in 410 gauge was tagged at $1,199.00 and their website lists its condition at 98%.
I hope this helps someone - I have NO idea as to the ownership or street values of these guns.
The store in question can be contacted at 406-682-4210 Mon.-Sat. 9 -6 MST.
No sales tax in Montana.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance to anyone interested.

I'm surprised that they said that the .25-20 1894 Marlin is in 97% condition.

Since they are selling if for $999.99, they might have claimed it was in 99.99% condition.

Saddlegun: The same shop has now added a lever action Marlin Rifle in 32-20 - when I saw the cross action safety on it I lost interest, but it was/is in great condition also.

Thanks for the tip! I wouldn’t be surprised if someone here snagged them.
