I just got a 1972 35 remington 336. It has the rear sight base, but is missing the elevator and folding leaf. Any good replacements that don't require changing the front sight? Any place to buy the folding leaf and elevator? Thanks.
With Marlin gone under I would replace it with a Marbles 3/8 dovetail sight of the same general type. Give Brownells a look and call their tech support to get one of the proper height.
You might also scare up a replacement on Ebay but don't expect the typical Ebay seller to know squat about what it will or will not fit.

Yup that’s correct. Left to right from the back and the install is right to left.
