Not a 336 but I just added a 1894 in 218 bee to the collection in very good shape!

Lucky you!

Layne Simpson did an article on the cartridge and his various rifles a few years back in the Hodgdon Annual, if you want something to read while you’re looking for brass and ammo.

Nice catch. I have an 1894CL in 25-20 WCF. It's my favorite squirrel rifle. This was in the run that was made around the late 1980s. I need to find more brass for it. I would love to get one of those in 218 Bee.

When I was a kid I used to visit an old Ahtna sheep hunter who only had one blue and was part Russian. His mother was Horse Creek Mary and you will find a lot of stuff about her in history. Several famous artists did portraits of her. She was half Russian. Remember that Tom Bell who was probably close to his mid 90s had a 1894 that was held together with moose babiche. Well today I purchased that gun and 100 rounds of 25-20 ammo for 250.00. It is not a looker but I think that I will leave it as it is. It was made in 1896 from serial number and I will put up picts of it tomorrow.
