Can anyone please tell me the thread size and pitch of the finger lever screw on the Marlin model 336. Some may call it the hammer screw. Thanks in advance

The screw that the hammer rides on or the screw that holds the lever to the? frameCuz they are two different screws, and I can't see anyone using "hammer screw" for both
It's the one that the hammer rides on and The head is counterbored into the left side of the frame threaded into the right side. I was able to drill the screw out without and damage. What we have left is the major thread diameter. I found out that it is a 12-28 NF thread. I bought him 3 taps. A bottoming, plug, and a tapered. I figured one of those taps will catch what is left or the threads and just spin them out and chase the threads at the same time. We have the replacement screw already. The gun is in Oregon and now I am back in NH. Thanks for the response.
