Have become more interested in lever guns lately. Went & picked this 336rc up this morning. this is my 1st 35 Rem.
have a couple other lever guns - Winchester 94 30-30 that my dad bought me when i was 13 ( it will be my sons some day) & a 336w in 30-30. Overall this is a pretty nice gun made 1959 some handling marks but nice grain to the wood. Dont care much for the bases & rings on the gun. I am going to remove them. sorry for the pics dont know what is wrong with the camera.

What do you seasoned 336 collectors think??

I'm certainly not a seasoned collector, but it looks like a great hunting rifle to me. I'll tell ya, the first time you touch one off you'll notice it has a bit more "thump" to it than a 30/30. I shot my first 35 Rem on friday and I love it...Scott

I think that's a fine looking levergun. I really, really wish Marlin still made them w/ the slim forends.

A very nice looking Marlin chambered in a classic cartridge.. Hope it shoots well for you.
