I saw a Marlin 336 with a straight grip for sale recently. The rifle appeared to have a 20" barrel and a nicely figured stock. It was simply identified as a 336 - no "T" or anything else. Condition was excellent and the price was $369. Does anyone know what model this is and what is a fair price? Caliber is 30-30.
It is a Texan. I've had four of em, converted 2 into Cowboys (24" Octagonal barrel). All of mine were Marked 336 RC on the barrel.

That is a fair price. If I needed another I'd buy it for that.

Thanks. I suspected it was a Texan, but I was confused since it wasn't marked "336 RC". I may see about working up a trade.
