For future reference folks, what's something like this worth? Only Marlin I own is a Model 62 in .256 Win Mag. Always liked the 336 though, hunted once with my older brother's. Enjoyed carrying it, never got a shot tho.

I don't know the answer to the original question but I did see a 17% internet premium on the item. Ouch!

OUCH indeed, didn't see that. The selling price was pretty good.

With shipping it is about $81.00 on top of the price plus FFL transfer fees which are $35.00 around here.The pawn shop I frequent has one in 35 Rem.prelock for $400.00 out the door with a VX1 2X7 on it.
