Looking for a shooter, not collector.
Scratches or worn metal ok, pitted rust not ok.
Don’t want to have to baby it. Just passed on one for $400 due to pitting.
Thanks
Have a couple I’m considering, but wanted to try here just in case.
A Marlin 30TK was posted recently in the classifieds, not sure if the rifle sold
Kittery Trading post has one for sale that just might be what you are looking for.
member named RLA had one a few weeks ago. It was nice. Check and see if he still has it. Thinking it was like 450 but was clean as a pin
I had not seen this post till today but did happen upon the KT down at KTP a couple of weeks ago and put it on lay-a-way. The metal was 95% and even had the original Kmart padded camo sling, but the butt had been shortened and a boo-ugly vented recoil pad halfassed put on.
As I have never owned a 30-30 I happened to like the 2/3s magazine and straight stock. Though it would be a nice match to the 39 Carbine I have.
Looked for a beech replacement stock which no longer existed but did luck into a nice clean walnut one with matching forend for a whole $65 on ebay... So one day this will be a Deluxe30KT...
Good luck on your search...that one that sold on GB was a nice gun for what it sold for...and only $20 shipping.

Build your own. Numrich has original new 30TK barrels. Not usually a big deal to swap barrels.
...but then there is finding a donor straight stock action, finding or modifying the magazine tube, getting the right length forend or having the barrel and magazine tube modified to take a longer forend...it isn't just a barrel swap...

It is if you already have a 336.
I did it.
