I've gotten a 336 30-30 rebored into .444 and the result is I've got a fast twist gun that'll hold 6 big 444s but is very light for the scope. I'm shooting 240grain Remington and beartooth405 graners also nowammo is unavailable.
I'm thinking of just trading or selling the gun.ilove it but ammo ammo.anybody got a source?

Sadly even in the best of times, 444 is not the easiest to find. With factories still busy on 9mm and 223, it will be a long time before they think about 444. Since 444 is not that difficult to load, I would suggest a used single stage press, a set of dies and a Lee powder scale and load all you need. A jar of 4198 powder will serve for most purposes. A box or two of Hornady or Speer SP (not HP) bullets will keep you busy for a while. Think about it. Best of luck.

Roze Bullets makes a very nice bullet or the 444

Consider cast bullets! The .444 is a great candidate for cast bullets, and there’s a great deal of satisfaction in shooting your own bullets! memtb

I was once shopping for a 444. I went into a big box store and inquired if they had one for sale. The gun department manager told me they only carry 45-70 because 444's don't sell well. I remember telling him it is always hard to sell something you do not have.
