How are the uberti and chiappa actions compared to the Winchester 1886?
Do you mean are they mechanically identical or are you asking if they are as smooth as the originals?
Tricky question.
When my Miroku1886 45-90 was new, it seemed stiff compared to my well worn 1892 lever action. A friend that competes in Cowboy Action shooting volunteered to slick it up for 100 dollars.
After a couple go arounds with me testing it and giving it back to him, the action was very slick operating and the trigger pull weight reduced to 4 pounds like all my other hunting rifles.
That was several years ago and it is even better now than then. I loaned it to a friend to take to Africa and he was very pleased with the trigger - he says it is just right and knows just when to drop the hammer..
