What 45-70 suppressors are ya’ll running and why? My goals in order are weight, length and sound reduction and in that order.

Three I’m considering are Hybrid 46, Dead Air Primal and thunderbeast Fly 45. Are there any others I should think about? For an 1895 SBL.

I use a Hybrid 46 on my 1895 Trapper, works well but I have no experience with the other ones you're considering to compare. I bought the Hybrid mostly because I wanted a can that was rated for anything I might ever want to suppress and it had great reviews. It looks like the Thunderbeast tops out at .45-70/.450BM where the other 2 can handle .338 Lapua pressures.

I have a couple suppressors. One is for 45 caliber - Banish 45, it’s light and quiet.

Have happily used the Banish 46 on a Henry rifle. It works just great!

I use a Rugged Obsidian. Works just fine on subsonics but it's a bit loud on full house loads. Not enough volume. It is rated for full pressure loads.

I see the suppressor issue a lot and I never thought it would add anything to the mix. Other than the "cool factor".

I shoot for my own enjoyment, whether if it's at a paper target, tin can or game animal. I enjoy being able to go out my back door and shoot, in this case a big bore levergun, without the use of ear protection and knowing everyone within a mile aren't "enjoying" the resulting noise. I've found, as have many others, I don't need to eek out the most velocity from of a large diameter bullet to ventilate paper, tin or animals as millions of dead bison can attest. If you're fortunate to live in a remote area where no one gets bothered by someone touching off a hundred "earsplitinkaboomers", or an apartment dweller with no choice but to travel somewhere to shoot, then it might not be a concern. To those of us that have a safe place to shoot but are cognizant of our neighbors right to a semblance of peace and quiet, suppressors add a lot to the "mix".

And they are cool

I’m planning on getting a thunder beast 45 fly, they are one of the higher rated cans for 45 cal. And are much lighter too. I have a thunder beast ultra 7 30 cal and love it.

I have a SOCOM300SPS for my .308 Ruger SFAR. Works great.

I'm also waiting on a Thunderbeast .338. Hands down the best suppressor I have ever used. No kick or earplugs needed for my .300PRC.

I’m using the HUXWRX RAD 45 on my SBL, with 410gr Subs. Very quiet

I run a Hybrid 46 on a couple of 45-70s as well as rifles chambered in 45 Colt, 44 Mag and 458 Socom. Actually need to get a second one.
