I have an 1895. It isn't a guide gun, has a 22" barrel I think, blued with regular lever, and a cross bolt safety. Anyway, I'd like to put a new stock on it. I kinda like the laminated ones, but walnut is OK. Can anyone tell me who sells pistol grip stock and forend sets new for these? And, will a 336 stock fit an 1895? Thanks.

You can buy the laminated stock sets direct from Marlin. And the 336 stock will fit a 1895 rifle.

George Peterson (Treebone Carving - link below) has some nice looking wood. Not drop ins but not that terrible difficult to fit. Did a stock for a rolling block and can't imagine a lever would be much different/harder.
