would appreciate suggestions for increasing LOP on model 92.
thanks in advance
If it has a curved metal butt plate, about all you can do is cut the butt flat and install a 1" recoil pad or shape a piece of similar wood and glue/screw it on and cover with a slip on leather or rubber boot. There are some pretty nice commercial hand made leather boots that would cover it all up
thank you for your response.
i have not found a lip on sized for the rossi. any suggestins?
You might try to find a saddle maker or leather worker. Maybe they can fashion something for the contoured butt plate and then make a leather lace on boot for it, Also might try Marlin Owners.com forum. There are few leather workers there that maybe could help you out. Search for "leather workers"
Do a search on Google for "Lace on leather recoil pad". It will show show some different types
i appreciate the suggestions
Boyds has 94 Winchester style stocks for the Rossi 92s.
Or just
Put a cheep slip on . See what it feels like for you.
because of the stock dimensions, i haven't found a slip on that fits reasonably well
