Short answer, no. For what it's worth though, awhile back I read this article http://www.gunblast.com/Puma480.htm at Gunblast reviewing the .480 Ruger version and the author mentioned that Paco Kelly had reviewed the .454 version 4 years earlier, kept it, and was still impressed by it.

I have one and love it. It holds 9 or 10 and can be tube loaded or side loaded. It is short, light and handy. I plan on upgrading the sights and adding the large loop now available from the company. The safety takes a little getting used to but you can always just use the hammer. I picked mine up a few years ago new for somewhere in the $300's. I see they are a little more now.

Yes, it will. Had one, LOVED it. Traded it to safariman, and he dotes on it heavily.

With .45LCs, it's a cupcake. With .454s, she'll rattle your teeth, but carry 9+1 300 gr. loads at about 1900 fps (that's .45-70 turf), and she'll flatten anything in NA inside 100 yards, easily.

I went to the range and shot my handloads: .480 Ruger, 410gr. High Performance hard cast WFNGC, 20 gr H110, 20" bbl yielded right at 1300fps. This is about what I want. I wanted to try and duplicate the factory 45/70 loading and this is damn close. The recoil while not severe will get your attention. The factory 325 loading is a gas to shoot.

I have one and love it, mostly run 45 LC through it, and as stated already they are very mild, the 454s are another story. But I sure do not feel underguned with it for anything I may run into. My wife is very small and loves to shot it, gonna have to get her one of her own in .357.

Some folks have issues with it shooting high with the 454s and have had to switch out the front sight for a higher post, I reckon I am just lucky mine is fine.

Got one in a trade a few weeks back, I've run one box of 300 grain full power loads through it so far. Light, handy, enthusiastic recoil, more than capable of taking an elk @ 100-150 yards. I still need to replace the factory sights with a ghost ring peep and a white-line front.

Apparently Legacy wound up with the Puma name and their M92 clones are now made in Italy. Rossi/Taurus M92 clones are still made in Brazil.

Recently picked up a used, but as-new Legacy Brazilian import, in 44 mag. 24" octagon barrel, color-case receiver/fore end cap.

great gun, it makes a good match for my f/a m83. i shoot same load in both, 300 xtp mag over 31.5gr of h110. 1775fps from revolver and I think a tad over 2k from puma. It will get your attention. about like shooting my 9.3x74 in a ruger #1s. i put a peep on mine, much better than factory sights.

Which peep and how? My son has one and as much as I love to shoot it, my eyes don't do well with open sights anymore. I am guessing that you had it drilled and tapped, as I don't think it comes D&Ted from the factory.

I have one chambered in 45 colt and it handles the 454s well you just have to load them directly in the chamber and Ive had no issues of any kind shootin the 454s.....

I love mine. It hurts with full house .454 loads. It is a mini-.45-70. Much better with .45 Colts. Had mine drilled and tapped an installed a rear peep and it is very accurate.

Also have a new .44 Mag. These are the new Braztech / Taurus models I think. Had a great orignal Legacy .357 which was my favorite but I gave it to a good friend. I just love all these pistol caliber levers.

When I got mine the first thing I did with it was send it off to have an action job, feed ramp smoothed up, and a kick eez recoil pad installed, and drill and tap the receiver for a Lyman sight.

I bought it for hog hunting in the swamps of Florida. I never had to fire a second shot at a hog. They are very light, easy to carry and will flatten anything in North America.
