Picked up a 39M yesterday out of a local pawn shop.
I'd give it an easy 90+%, had to shell out 275 clams for it.
Someone had stuck a Bushnell Sportview 4X on it, so it came with the package. Can't wait to take it out to the range and see how it compares with the 39A I've had for over 25 years.
Nice snag! Hope it works out for you!
Nice find....I've had one since 1967 or so...greatest 22 ever IMO
If you ever want your money back just let me know.:-)
I have had two of them and can't understand why Marlin doesn't bring them back.
Great find. You will enjoy it.
Congratulations! I just found one too, after looking for years. What I paid converts to about US$330, condition was 95% or better. I can't hardly believe how lucky a find it was and how good this little rifle feels in the hand. Mine's made in 1957, so a year older than me. I have not aged anywhere near as well!
It will accompany me on our family's traditional Boxing Day rabbit hunt, when we get the whole family out for some snowshoe hare hunting the day after Christmas. Can't wait!
Must be the something going around ,,, I walked into Scheels last weekend during a Christmas shopping excursion and there was one in the used rack with 3x9 scope on it. Couldn't talk them down any so bought it anyway ..total of $370.49 and a walk out the door.. Guy showed me the hang tag and said it hadn't been there for more than 24 hrs...
Got it home cleaned it up and fired couple shots and now waiting for a nice day to pop some bunnies...
Looks nice sitting beside my 2 39a's a 1894C 357 and several Marlin bolt action 22 n 22 mags..... and coming soon a 39TDS and a 1894 44 mag. Now the search for a 1894M begins..
Re: Boxing day rabbit hunt - my son used my new 39M to shoot his very first snowshoe hare. Both hunt and rifle were a success!
