Drahts found birds for me this weekend south of South Dakota. Roosters, a bonus quail and a bucket list prairie chicken. Been doing better this season and this was my best weekend. The 1 year old improves on each trip.

Very nicely done! Those chickens are a hoot to hunt! They fly a L O N G way after being flushed. I've shot both species; one in KS and the other in SoDak.

Thanks guys. The brown dog has a VJP test in April and hoping for another day or two of field work for him prior to standard training days. Walked a lot of miles this year to get birds. Hoping for a continued mild winter and a good nesting season. Or perhaps a drive or two to SD.
