Dumped this pheasant near an old homestead in north central ND and it fell into

Dog marked and pointed bird and followed and did not know now to retrieve.






I climbed down to retrieve. Good thing because lots of dangerous sharp objects.

Saw a setter dead in the bottom of a well a few years ago in eastern WA. Always think about that now when Im out with my pup. Gotta look out for our hunting partners.
