We are headed out Friday morning Nov 22. We will probably start stopping at WIHA sites after we get past Pratt.

Any reports of success in the dodge city area?
PMd ya.

Let me know how you guys do, I live in Eastern KS North of where Chessy lives (up by KC)...

Chessy if you duck hunt and you get up to Marais Des Cygne we should chat too.
Anybody wants to team up in western Kansas, I can drop a 3 year old drahthaar down some to give other dogs a rest. Haven't hunted Kansas yet but drove all the way across yesterday and saw a bunch of waterfowl on ponds across the state.

I'm a bird hunter, but forced to take up duck hunting for lack of opportunity around here. Not a good duck hunter, but have luckily been where they wanted a few times on some local ponds.

Unfortunately I get to work December-March in Utah and momma doesn't think I need to hunt every weekend leading up to that for some reason, something about never seeing her and the kids, blah blah blah.

Grandpa used to have a house at Linn Valley Lakes when it first started up, we'd drive by Marais Des Cygne going up there and see it covered up with ducks. Will have to try and get up there next year and see what actual large population duck hunting is about.
Hunted SW Nebraska again yesterday. Pretty slow this year compared to last year. Temps got to 60 degrees though. Geese migration in NE CO is in full swing. Saw an amazing number of geese along 76.
