Both boys are taking an interest in hunting. thus far they have been using my guns, but I have let them know that they should start to figure out what they their preference is.

Son 1 thought he wanted a pump shotgun (probably based upon looks) or a sxs coach gun (again, looks).

I brought him to a small shop today so he could fondle a few guns that I dont have access to.

He picked up the ou CZ quail and he actually grinned. Looked at me and said "this. Wow."

Its out of my price range right now, but I wil start saving some coin and cutting back on beer runs.

Experiences and thoughts on the cz quail as a squirrel/pheasant/rabbit/general upland gun? Quality? Worth the $550 tag?

He's 13 and about 5'4 and pretty thin but athletic. Not sure if a youth gun, which fits him really well right now, is the right move. Thinkng a bigger recoil pad down the road will lengthen the pull enough when he grows?
