Anybody have experience with this powder?
Does it burn more moist ("moister") than the "RED" Label Goex Brand?

What granulation to use for 40/50BN, 40/50SS, 40/70SS 40/90BN, 45/70, 45/90, 45/110, 50/70, 50/90
Will 1.5 work for all of these?

I like F g in the 40-70 bn , 40-90 -2 5/8" sbn, 45-110, 50 2.5" and 50 3 1/4" with paper patch bullets. MB

It not only burns cleaner and softer than the regular goex it delivers more velocity for the same grains weight powder charge.
In the 40-70 44-77,44-90 st, 45-90, and some bullets in the 45-70 I use 1 1/2
In the 40-90 bn and 45-110 I use 1 f.
40-65, most bullets in the 45-70 and on occasion I use 2f in the 44-77

It shoots as well as Swiss in my 40-65 and 38-55. I will likely switch when I shoot up the last of my Swiss.

I use OE and I give it the edge over Swiss.
I use 1 1/2 F 2, and 3F in all my calibers. I would get a split case of 1.5 and 2F and try it.
I use 92 gr of 3F in the .44-100 st with excellent results.
But I use more 2F than the rest.

You'll have to find a better shooter than me to tell the difference in accuracy between it and 1F Goex Express or Swiss, those powders are slower and foul a bit harder, but holy damn they shoot for me in my 50-90.

The best powder I've ever used in the 50-90 is Goex Cartridge

10-4 Ranch, my Goex is about a hundred fps slower than the OE 2F, but dang is it consistent, doesn't hurt a damn thing that 40 cans of it came with the 15lb bull barrel 50-90 I bought from Sharpsman.

Edit: long hard cold day, meant to say Swiss 1F is a hundred fps slower than OE 2F, with Goex 1F being another hundred fps slower than the Swiss 1F.

I only shoot traditional muzzleloader , and I cant tell the difference .

I've had great results with OE, 2 F for my 45-70, 3F for my cap guns. I find it burns just about as clean as Swiss, with nearly same velocity, but at $3-4 cheaper per pound. My 45-70 prefers 2F, but you'll just have to experiment.

I recently bought a few lbs of OE but haven't tried it yet. For you that use it, how much compression do you like compared to Swiss and Goes. I don't compress Swiss more than about 0.1" but Goes seems to like a bit more.

It really depends on what the rifle will tell you, as well as compression numbers that one person does to get the powder in the case. But in general terms any where from 1 /10 to almost 4 tenths.
