With the price and or non-availability of smokeless components and as much as I like to shoot ,I am thinking of adding some flintlock weapons to the household. Looks like shooting flintlocks could be fun. I already mold bullets for a few rifles and have a very good supply of lead.
The chairman of Estes was on another forum a couple of weeks back that they were still planning to get powder shipped soon. The primer thing in texas is still in the works, have seen a tube video on those, but the small pistol primers they showed on that were marked for commercial use only. My rifles say they don't need to change anything with OE to be a better powder than Swiss.
I still have a few pounds of KIK left, but I would switch to OE in a heartbeat if I could find some. There's times I am really glad I didn't go bigger than .45, 2 1/10"!
