Anybody have experience with this tire? or how about toyo open country AT? looking at the next tires for my 2010 taco.

I've got just shy of 30k miles on a set on my 2019 GMC 1500. I like them. In the past I've had several sets of BFG KO2s and their predecessor, as well as Goodyear Duratracs. All on half ton trucks. I like the ridge grapplers the best. Can't speak to the Toyo Open Country AT but have heard good things.

May want to look at the Terra Grapplers too. I have 60k miles on a set on my F-150 and around 10k on my FJ set. They are quiet, last a long time and are usually cheaper than the Ridge Grapplers

I am running a set of Ridge Grapplers on my '17 Nissan Titan XD. I've run mostly BFG ATs on Ford F-150s for the past 25 years. I've tried different brands, but always went back to the BFGs because I knew what to expect - 50k miles if not a tad more with no surprises along the way. Plus, the tire store always seemed to come up with a deal that put the BFGs in the same price range as anything else. Here in the AZ desert, I changed out those tires at 50k mostly due to tire rot, not tread wear.

Discount Tire talked me into trying something different with the heavier 5/8-ton Nissan. With the Cummins 5.0, I think the curb weight of that truck is in the 7,000lb range. The Nittos ride smooth, grip great, and seem quiet to me. I'm at about 28k miles with them. It's hard to judge, but I may be down to a little more than 50-55% tread wear on them. I doubt I'll get 50k miles on them, but we'll see.

Just as importantly with truck folk - they look great on the Nissan! Unlike my previous Fords, I cannot put larger tires on the Nissan without at least an up-front leveling kit. I wasn't going to spend the money for that so went with stock-sized tires. The Ridge Grapplers give that slightly more aggressive look I was going for without going to a larger tire and without sacrificing the ride.

I have a 2019 F250 with 20k miles and have been running the Ridge Grapplers for about the past 17k. I like them but my only complaint is at least for me they are not that great in the rain.

I had them on a 2005 F250 diesel. And I thought they were pretty good in the rain. I was running 65lb to in the back.I put close to 20 K on them I think, started to get loud changed my wheel and tire set up and sold them off, I like those tires they were very good for me. I’m now running Toyo open country, nice tire.

I'm running the Nitto Exo Grappler on a Dodge deisel and like them. Member here (Horse1) recommended them as holding up better than the other Nitto Grappler series tires when running on the heavier deisel trucks.

Ran Terra Grapplers on my Tundra for 2 sets, pretty good tire but not overly impressive.
Switched to the Ridge Grappler and have been very happy with them, do better in the mud for sure, fairly quiet and seem to do well in the rain.

My boy really like the Falken Wildpeak AT3’s on his 2011 Taco, another tire to consider.

Have Toyo Open Countrys on my 2500 Dodge, will buy another set when they're done

I have a 2015 Chevy 2500 HD with a deleted & tuned Duramax Diesel engine. It has a 6.5 BDS lift with 37” tires & makes a lot of horsepower. I’m on my second set of Ridge Grapplers. I’m hesitant to say how many miles I put on the first set because it’s pretty much unbelievable. They last and perform so well that I can’t even consider anything else. I pull a heavy 40’ fifth wheel Toyhauler camper often. I’m very satisfied with the ride, noise level and wet road performance.

I had Nitro Trail Grapplers before and they were fine but didn’t deliver the same level of on road performance & longevity as the Ridge Grapplers.

I have Ridge Grapplers on my Jeep Wrangler and am very happy with them. The wear evenly so far, are fairly quiet, have done very well off road. I have read some reviews that state they wear quicker on heavier vehicles(like 2500series trucks etc), but those seem to be mixed reviews. My BIL runs them on his 2500 diesel Ram And they seem to be wearing better than the goodyears he had on it.

As of now when these wear out I plan to replace them with another set of Ridge Grapplers.

Got them on my 2020 Ram 3500. Not good in the mud. Highway driving they are nice and quiet

When I bought my F250 in 2004, the previous owner put Nitto Terra’s on it. When I took possession of it I couldn’t get those dump truck tires off of it fast enough. Hated those things.

What PSI are you guys running on the E rated Ridge Grapplers?

On a Taco they work fine in rain, mud, snow and are quiet. They also unclog gravel fairly well.



I run about 38psi in mine with shell and sliders. Air down to low 20s for most off road.

I run Ridge Grapplers on my Tundra and out of 4 sets of other tires I like these the best by far, decent off road, quiet and are wearing well.

I had Ridge Grapplers on my Ram and liked them. Sold that truck and got a Ford and went with Geolander x-at tires. They did better in the mud and snow but were slightly louder.
