Anyone here with a Ranger with the Tremor package? 2.3l Eco boost, 10 spd, Fox shocks, leveling kit etc.

Local dealer has a couple and I'm getting the interest in one. Basic truck stuff - pulling the ATV, running to camp, maybe a walleye boat sometime. Off roading for fun etc.

Not the Tremor, but my brother has a 2020 XLT 4X4 crew cab. He likes it a lot. I have the same engine/transmission in my wife's Explorer. I'm getting 25 ish mpg daily driving and 27-28 Hwy. My brother's truck 2-3 MPG less. The power is amazing. When merging into traffic I can go from 40-80 MPH in a hurry if I need to.

I can't say for sure about towing, but it should be a beast. They are rated to tow 7500 lbs and a typical 4X4 crew cab will have about 1500 lbs payload. Compared to a similar Tacoma rated at 6400 lbs, but with only 1000-1200 lbs payload.

I'm going to be looking for a new truck in 2-3 years and will look hard at one at that time. The biggest negative for towing is the small 18 gallon fuel tank. I'm used to the 36 gallon tank on my F150. And when towing the fuel mileage is going to be about the same (10ish MPG) with either truck. And if anything the bigger trucks will probably do a little better when towing. Not going to have much range with the small tank at 10 MPG.

I don't tow much but I do need the capability to pull a trailer with a SxS up north from time to time. SxS's aren't getting lighter, figure 2k lbs now...

I think I'll be okay. Brother had the same engine in the explorer I guess and said it was a dog. Made me nervous.

I have a Ranger Tremor, bought it back in November 2021.
Love the truck overall, took me a little bit to get use to a small vehicle again.
Plenty of power I'd say for what you want to do. I don't tow anything yet.
I'm getting 23-35 mpg I'm at work, I'll put a few pics up in a day or so

Check out ranger5g.com. great site on the rangers with a tremor sub forum

I've been looking at the new rangers. I currently have a 17 titan xd
I pull a 17ft 3500lb camper. I wonder how well a crew cab ranger would handle it.

I like my titan, but it yuge.

I liked them fine and people I talked to seemed to be really ok with them. Then again - I haven't gotten to talk to anyone with 100k on one yet for long term use. Fairly new platform in this generation.

I never ended up buying - the place that had them left me sour. Likely mostly the salesman himself, not the dealership but the dude was an arse and I walked.

They have been around as the world ranger in Australia and New Zealand for a while, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it being a "New platform"

I would be more concerned with the stopping than I would be with the going.

Wonder how it works having to mash the brakes at 65+ mph in heavy traffic??

Even with a brake controller.

Exactly, pulling something is one thing, but stopping something that heavy is different. I always give those little rigs a wide berth after seeing a little Chevrolet Blazer over on it’s side on I-94 when the larger travel trailer that it was pulling had turned it over.

Ya after thinking about it, I bet the gvwr would get used up quickly. Guess I keep the land yacht.

I can run fully loaded up mountain passes and maintain 75-80mph....so I got that going for me.
