Bought my son an ‘08 Rubicon 2Dr. Came with a hardtop but he wants a soft top set up.
What’s best option out there? Obviously need the frame and the top/doors.

I don’t know how many options are out there, but I drove a cj7 year ‘round with a simple bikini top, no doors, for a few years.

Loved it.

Yep, that's where I bought my replacement soft tops.
Bestop made the OEM tops and had the best replacements.

Four Wheel Parts is various 4x4 stuff.

Jeep specific would be 4 Wheel Drive Hardware.

Or Quadratec.

Ive had good results from all three, but do most with Quadratec.

Buddy restored a Wrangler and bought from other places. Had stuff show up late or wrong. Body off restoration so welding, paint....other.
Was scheduled. Not cool to get wrong stuff and send back when on a timeline.

He got it done but afterward said.......Quadratec might be a little more expensive but they NEVER screwed up.
He went QT after that on the next one.

That was yrs ago, but Id bet theyre as good as they used to be.

FWIW I had a Besttop Supertop on a CJ5. No complaints.

Ordering some wheels next week from Quadratec and then some other model specific from Renegadeready (Madness Auto Works).
See how the new guys do LOL

Never have had any luck with 4 Wheel Parts, they could screw up a wet dream, most of their shop work down here they send out and it's not well done, i will never go back, and i tried hard to work with them. Rio7

The 4WP shop i did biz with years ago was fine. Manager was in our club. Procomp and Rubicon Express stuff through them for my XJs. Busted a leaf spring and they warrantied it w no fuss.

Dunno diddly squat about new location and staff.
Their website sucks, as i went for specific stuff and it pulls up tons kf crap thats no applicable.

Have a local truck store and its more about pimping pickups.
The old 4x4 shops, two of em, long since closed.

The jeep salvage places have gone away as well.

I think Bestop used to be better than the original. Haven't bought one in a while.

BestTop is what I had on the old wrangler - was an excellent top. Zero complaints.
