Have not seen anything posted here about the class action law suit here for Ford F150's with the 5.0 v8 so I'm putting it out here for general information
I believe it covers years 2018,19 & 20 and is about the motors excessive oil consumption which is thought to be caused by excessive vacuum when decelerating.
Ford sent out a TSB to dealers regarding the matter. It is TSB 19-2365. Dealers will perform the work if your vehicle is under warranty but not if it is out.
The lawsuit wants Ford to do a recall for the issue.
Hope this helps.

I thought 5.0 was the safe engine to go with in the F150!

I know there are a lot of them out there, but I've had 3 friends grenade their 3.5 eco in the last couple months. The turbo came apart and put metal throughout the engine at 65k-104k. Two were dealer maintained and the other does his own.

I'll stay with NA engines as long as possible!

They were the safe engine until they went to the spray in cylinder liners. I do not trust anything Ford brings out. I am not shocked at all about the 3.5 ecoboost. If someone else had taken that idea and run with it I would feel a lot more comfortable about them. Its the build quality, quality of components and a rush to market mentality that makes any Ford vehicle a liability .

Well said. However, with the govt. pushing for more efficient engines, stricter emission laws and other bs, it has an affect on a lot of other manufactures as well. Honda had major oil consumption issues, and also some of the Toyota engines. Bad for us, when they try to adhere to the stricter guidelines. It pays to do your due diligence when thinking about buying a new or used vehicle. My brother in law thinks he's a mechanic, he's going to be thrilled to know his new F-150 is more of a pile of schidt than what I already told him it is.
