We used to when I worked in Anchorage. It worked and you can customize your stud pattern.if the tires are in decent shape,it was nice to be able to replace thrown studs

I have used studs on my wife's Tacoma she has now and the one previous. No comparison to ones without studs on ice or packed snow. I don't put them on my self though.I have two sets of tires and wheels. The studded ones go on the last of November and off at in April. Never did any siping.

Appreciate all the replies. I am down to the Nitto EXO Grappler, Cooper Discover AT#-XLT and Discover T-Maxx.In that order, Depending on what is available here.Thinking about putting them on a new set of wheels so I can run what I have now in the summer for a few years yet.

I just studded the front tires of the skid steer (well, one of the guys did for me) and it was a breeze. Take them back out after ice season in a month or so. Easy peasy.
